About Us

Friendly children’s day nurseries in Bristol BS7

Welcome to Ashgrove Park and Clyde House day nurseries. We are two sister day nurseries in Bishopston and Ashley Down (BS7), Bristol. We provide warm and friendly, inspiring, excellent care for children from birth to five years old in a safe, secure and stimulating home-from-home environment.

We provide year-round Ofsted Outstanding and Good-rated care for your children between the hours of 08:15 and 17:45 Monday to Friday. We are closed on bank holidays and between Christmas and New Year.

The primary focus of the nurseries is the happiness and wellbeing of the children in our care. Our warm, friendly and expert staff treat each child as an individual and celebrate their diversity.

We want to give each child the confidence to learn and develop at their own pace by providing them with an inviting and engaging range of activities, resources, experiences and opportunities in an atmosphere of encouragement and choice. We value each child’s voice and foster a sense of belonging and trust. We build close bonds with the children, which creates positive interactions between children and practitioners.

Our Settings

Both nurseries benefit from large, secure, all-weather outdoor spaces, so children are continually active outside and in, and have the opportunity to play and learn outside throughout the day. Both settings have a sensory garden to stimulate the children’s imaginations and explore different environments. The outdoor spaces are well stocked with a range of resources such as large building equipment, loose parts, tyres, slides, climbing frames, sand and water boxes, bikes and scooters and much more designed to spark your child’s imagination and development.

Our Staff

We believe that having the right team is the most important factor. We aim to have a team of qualified, confident, experienced and friendly role models. Practitioners are involved in continuous professional development with regular training.

Our Food

We provide substantial, nutritious snacks and a home-cooked meal during the day, and menus have been designed in consultation with Bristol City Council’s nutrition guidelines. We value the social interactions that happen when children and practitioners engage in conversations around the table. We always respect dietary requirements, taking into account cultural beliefs and allergies.

I would thoroughly recommend Ashgrove Park to anyone looking for a nursery. The staff are brilliant - really friendly, down to earth and genuinely interested in the children. The care they give couldn't be better. It has a real family atmosphere and is like a home from home. I'm so glad to have chosen it.
